Twisted Dolls
2023 Sketch Card Set!
I completed only three cards for this set last year, recently released in early 2023 by Braiiinz! Publishing.
Twisted Dolls presented artists with the challenge to express the mental and emotional effects of trauma, depression, and addiction using dolls. The art for the set is inspired by the beautifully morbid works of Yuriko Shirou.

✦ Art To Watch Out For ✦
Black Cat Magic
My most popular [and most stolen] illustration to date!
My mischievous little Halloween cat has made more than a few appearances around the internet…in shops that do not belong to me!
Alas, an artist’s most beloved work often comes with the curse of art theft.
If you bought any merch featuring this stolen art (the only legitimate places to buy it is through one of my ‘srj_art’ branded print on demand shops, or The Realm of sAm), please know that I am not upset with you. It happens, and hey, it means you found my witchy kitty too bewitching to pass up! But I hope you’ll consider following me and supporting my hard work.
And, be on the look out for art theft.
The sad truth is, artists can’t stop art thieves.
Watermarks don’t work, lawsuits are expensive, and I do not have the time or energy to track down eVeRy pop-up shop scamming people with my art. Heck, most of the time I don’t even know they’re out there until a concerned fan reaches out to me.
BUT.
Buyers can become aware, and stop buying stolen art!
It only takes moments to see if a shop is legitimate, or track down the artist with a reverse image search to verify you are purchasing the real deal.
Those of us whose livelihoods depend on our art sales will be forever grateful you took that extra time. ✦
Twisted Wonderland
MISSING ART: Have you seen this painting?
Shortly after completing my original Twisted Wonderland watercolor painting in 2008, I matted the painting along side the original line art in a single giant frame. The whereabouts of both works are currently unknown, though it is highly likely they are still in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They were on display at the Twisted Wonderland Gallery Art Show in Pittsburgh, hosted by Factory Artists and Faded Industry Entertainment. I lost contact with the gallery organizer shortly after I moved out of state. I’d previously attempted to organize a pick up, but things just fell through and I never got my art back.
Last I knew, the artwork was on display at a local restaurant in Pittsburgh, but I have no idea which restaurant, or in what part of the city. I’ve since lost all contact with anyone involved, and I can only assume the artwork is lost.
I don’t consider this piece stolen, and I hold no ill will. It was my fault for not finding a way to pick the art up in time. I would just like a bit of closure and reassurance that it is in good hands somewhere. The idea of one of my most popular watercolor illustrations rotting in a landfill makes me shudder.
Should the current custodian happen to stumble on this page and wish to either return the missing artwork or pay to keep it, I would be eternally grateful. ✦
